Our Mission
Doan Math Academy is a leading program that develops creative, courageous and confident students, training the next generation of thinkers and leaders. We offer in person and online classes for grades 7-12.
Ms. Doan, Director
Jasmine Doan is an gifted math coach. She graduated with a Business & Engineering degree from Stanford. At the age of 18, she was accepted to the world's best universities including Harvard, Yale, UPenn, Columbia and Dartmouth.
Jasmine has 7+ years of experience, training students for the USA Math Olympiad Competitions and teaching K-12 foundational math. She has personally taught over 500+ students. Her students have ranked in the top 1% on the AMC8 as well as 1st place team at the Harker Math Contest. Jasmine is passionate about helping youth unlock their full potential!
Jasmine is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and her faith is central to her life and work. She views teaching as a calling and believes that every student is uniquely created by God with purpose and potential. Through her coaching, her students develop not only academic excellence, but also confidence, perseverance, and strong character.
Susan Daijo, Operations Coordinator
Susan serves as our Operations Coordinator. With a degree in Applied Mathematics and a minor in music (piano performance, music theory, conducting, and composition) from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Susan’s passion is in the areas of music and in bringing calm and order from uncertainty and chaos, with solutions that blend analytical thought with creativity and imagination. She also brings startup and operations experience from working with multiple startups, combining organization, adaptability, and creative problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
As a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ and a graduate of Victory Bible School’s two-year program for spiritual growth and ministry, Susan endeavors to incorporate the love of God in all that she does.
Stuart Chen, Education Content Designer & Producer
Stuart Chen is a talented Education Content Designer & Producer based in California. He graduated from The King’s Academy in Sunnyvale with High Honors. Stuart has worked for in a wide range of creative and technical environments ranging from designing graphics and managing audiovisual support for large school events, including TKA Math Tournament and multiple theatrical productions.
Stuart has over 6 years of experience in graphic design, technical production, and media support. During his time working in creative leadership roles, Stuart has learned that strong visual storytelling requires both technical precision and thoughtful collaboration. He specializes in video editing, graphic design, and audiovisual coordination using tools such as DaVinci Resolve and Affinity.

Carson Middleton, Curriculum & Teaching Intern
Carson Middleton is a talented curriculum and teaching intern based in California. He graduated from The Nueva School and will attend the University of Chicago. Carson has taught in diverse learning environments and age groups ranging from mentoring younger debate students to teaching elementary and middle school students through workshops, tutoring, and individualized instruction.
Carson has over 4 years of experience teaching debate, writing, and academic subjects including math and economics. During his time as an instructor and mentor, Carson has learned that students thrive when complex ideas are made approachable and engaging. He specializes in developing curriculum, simplifying difficult concepts, and giving students the tools they need to build understanding and confidence.
Carson is passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally. His experience founding a free debate program and mentoring younger students has deeply shaped his belief that strong teaching combines accessibility, encouragement, and meaningful connection.
