Doan Math Academy is a leading program that develops creative, courageous and confident students, training the next generation of thinkers and leaders. We offer in person and online classes for grades 7-12.
Ms. Doan, Math Coach
Jasmine Doan is an gifted math coach. She graduated with a Business & Engineering degree from Stanford. At the age of 18, she was accepted to the world's best universities including Harvard, Yale, UPenn, Columbia and Dartmouth.
Jasmine has 7+ years of experience, training students for the USA Math Olympiad Competitions and teaching K-12 foundational math. She has personally taught over 500+ students. Her students have ranked in the top 1% on the AMC8 as well as 1st place team at the Harker Math Contest. Jasmine is passionate about helping youth unlock their full potential!
Jasmine is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and her faith is central to her life and work. She views teaching as a calling and believes that every student is uniquely created by God with purpose and potential. Through her coaching, her students develop not only academic excellence, but also confidence, perseverance, and strong character.
Mrs. Su, English Teacher
Victoria Su is a gifted English teacher and writing coach. She graduated with a Comparative Literature degree and an English language and literature teaching license from Princeton University.
Victoria has 10+ years of experience teaching students of all levels, from English as a foreign language to remedial English to Honors and AP English. She specializes in teaching essay writing (including college application essays) and literary analysis. Her students have won Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and gone on to top colleges including Stanford, Rice, UCLA, and UC Berkeley. Victoria is passionate about helping youth to gain confidence and discover a genuine love for reading and writing!
Mr. Wise, Math & Computer Science Teacher
David Wise is a gifted math and computer science teacher. He graduated with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
David has experience teaching and mentoring students across a variety of settings. He previously worked as a backend and full-stack software engineer at Facebook and spent a year abroad in Kyrgyzstan teaching software engineering to local students. He enjoys helping students build strong problem-solving skills and confidence in math and programming.
David is especially enthusiastic about challenging math problems and competition-style thinking. His achievements include qualifying twice for the USA Mathematical Olympiad, placing first in the Colorado Mathematical Olympiad, and ranking in the top 100 in North America in the Putnam Mathematical Competition. David is passionate about inspiring students to think deeply, persevere through challenges, and discover the joy of mathematics and computer science.
